Founded in 1958, the Dawson County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the historical and cultural identity of Dawson County, Nebraska, and the surrounding region. Our work includes maintaining our museum facilities in Lexington and providing access to our collections of documents, photographs, and artifacts for researchers, students, and history enthusiasts.
We are proud of this mission—but we cannot accomplish it alone.
Unlike many institutions, the Dawson County Historical Society and Museum receives very little government or corporate funding. The majority of our annual support comes from membership dues, donations, and sales from our museum store. Simply put, our success depends on the continued support of our community.
We invite you to become a member and play a direct role in preserving our shared history. Your membership helps ensure proper care of our collections and allows us to expand educational opportunities for the public.
Dawson County Museum's Available Memberships
Your membership is more than a pass—it is an investment in preserving the stories, artifacts, and heritage that define our community. We hope you will join us.
