Research Assistant – Brian Neben

Brian Neben

Born in Kearney in 1993, I grew up around the Lexington area. I attended High School in Lexington, Nebraska and graduated in 2012.

I started working for the Dawson County Museum during the summer of 2012. I am currently attending the University of Nebraska in Kearney and major in History. I have been interested in history ever since I was young. World War II and Roman history interest me the most.

Working at the museum offers hands on experience with historical artifacts and records, which should lend well to my ultimate goal of becoming a professor of history at the university level.

I am a farm girl from western Oklahoma. After High School I attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. My first job, after I graduated from college, took me to Enid, Oklahoma where I met my husband who was stationed there as an instructor pilot in the Air Force. We have 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 5 wonderful grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
We moved to Lexington in 1983 and I have worked at the Dawson County Museum since 2000. I enjoy my work at the museum and especially working with our great staff!
