Dedication Ceremony

We will be having a dedication ceremony for the Oregon Trail/Ezra Meeker Monument outside of the museum on Saturday, May 16th at 1:30 PM. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony. We invite you to participate in this event and spend a little time at the museum while enjoying your refreshments!

“Quilting Bee and Exhibit” by the Plum Creek Quilt Guild, now showing through June 20th. Join us during this exhibit and freshen up your history of Quilting!

Crock-pot Cook Off

This Saturday, bring the entire family to the Dawson County Historical Museum for the Crock-pot Cook-off from 5-7pm. For a Freewill Donation, you can eat the crock-pot dishes, appetizers, dessert plus Hamburgers, chips, pop and water will also be served. Enjoy the museum and the meal with your family while supporting the preservation of our county’s wonderful history!

If you are entering the contest, be sure to have your dish at the museum by 4:15pm. Judging will begin at 5pm.
